Get to know Neonatologist Dr. Rees E. Oliver, who serves patients throughout the State of Alabama.

Dr. Oliver is a neonatologist caring for the critically ill newborn and premature infants. He is affiliated with multiple hospitals and medical centers in the state of Alabama, including UAB Hospital, Grandview Medical Center-Birmingham, Children’s of Alabama at UAB, Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Baptist Medical Center East, DCH Regional Medical Center, St. Vincent’s East Hospital, and Cooper Green Mercy Hospital. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the UAB Division of Neonatology, which provides comprehensive clinical care of all neonatal illnesses using the most complete and up-to-date techniques and conducts innovative research across the field of neonatology. The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1995. He then went on to perform his residency in pediatrics at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in 1999, and his fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2002. With years of experience, Dr. Oliver is board-certified in neonatal-perinatal medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP).
